General Terms and Conditions for Vacation Home Rentals
1. Scope & Conclusion of the Contract
These General Terms and Conditions apply to all direct bookings of our vacation home (e.g., through our website or by email). The rental agreement becomes binding upon confirmation of the booking by the landlord.
2. Prices, Payment Terms & Due Dates
Prices & Discounts: All prices listed include applicable taxes and fees. For direct bookings made through our website, we automatically offer a 3% weekly discount on the rental price for stays of 7 days or longer.
Final Cleaning: A flat fee of €100.00 per stay is charged for the mandatory final cleaning.
Tourist tax (Taxe de séjour): The local tourist tax levied by the Cèze-Cévennes Community of Municipalities is not included in the rental price and is listed and charged separately as a flat rate (per person/night) during the booking process.
Payment Terms & Due Date (for Direct Bookings):
When making a direct booking through our website, a deposit equal to 50% of the total invoice amount is due immediately.
The remaining 50% (balance) is due no later than 14 days before arrival.
Approximately 30 days before arrival, the guest will receive an automated payment request with a corresponding payment link.
If we do not receive the remaining balance at least 14 days before arrival, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation, subject to a cancellation fee.
Bookings Made Through Third-Party Platforms: For bookings made through external platforms (such as Airbnb, Booking.com, etc.), the discount promotions, payment terms, due dates, and cancellation policies of the respective platform take precedence.
Payment Methods: Payment is processed securely through the payment service providers Stripe (credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, etc.) or PayPal.
Security Deposit: No security deposit is required. However, the guest is liable for any damage to the rental property caused by the guest or the guest’s traveling companions through their own fault.
3. Cancellation Policy
Cancellations must be made in writing (e.g., by email). The following refund policy applies:
Up to 30 days before arrival: 100% refund of the total amount paid.
Less than 30 days before arrival: No refund (0%).
(We recommend that guests purchase travel cancellation insurance.)
4. Arrival and Departure (Check-in / Check-out)
Check-in (Arrival): starting at 3:00 p.m.
Check-out: by 10:00 a.m. at the latest
On the day of departure, the house must be left clean and tidy, the trash must be disposed of, and the dishes must be washed and put away.
5. House Rules & Use
Pets: Pets are welcome with prior notice. A flat fee of €30.00 per stay will be charged to cover the additional cleaning costs. Pet owners are required to prevent any damage or mess and to supervise their pets at all times while on the property.
No Smoking Policy: Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the entire interior of the house. Smoking is permitted only in outdoor areas (garden/patio). Ashtrays must be used in outdoor areas and emptied properly.
Quiet Hours & Events: The property is located in a quiet residential neighborhood. Loud parties and other events are expressly prohibited. Guests are required to be considerate of the neighbors and to observe the general quiet hours (especially the nighttime quiet hours from 10:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.).
Duty of Supervision & Liability (Entire Property & Interior Areas):
Parents, legal guardians, and accompanying adults bear full responsibility and have a duty of supervision for any children traveling with them throughout the entire premises of the rental property (including living areas, the patio, and the garden).
The same applies in full to pet owners with regard to pets they are traveling with.
We expressly note that some of the plants in the garden, as well as certain decorative elements, may be unsuitable for consumption due to natural factors (e.g., berries, fruits, or leaves of certain garden plants) or for practical reasons, or may pose risks if used improperly.
The landlord shall not be liable for any damage, poisoning, or accidents resulting from a breach of the duty of supervision.
Pool Use & Liability:
The swimming pool is open to guests seasonally from April through October.
Use of the pool is at your own risk. There is no supervision.
Children may only be in or around the pool area under the constant and direct supervision of an adult. Pet owners are liable for any damage or accidents caused by their pets in the pool area.
Property & Pool Maintenance: To ensure the quality of the outdoor areas and the pool, weekly maintenance is performed during the summer months. A gardener or service provider will visit the property once a week to maintain and clean the garden and the pool. Access to the outdoor area must be granted for this purpose; any disruption to your stay will be kept to a minimum.
